2008 Labor Day Picnic
A Labor Day Picnic
will be held on Saturday, August 30 at New Lighthouse Park in
Presque Isle from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Brats, hot dogs
and more will be served for a free-will donation to cover costs.
Entertainment will begin a 1:00 p.m. when Ruth and Russ Franzen
return with their guitars and songs about lighthouses and life on
the Great Lakes. Both lighthouse towers in Presque Isle will
be open to climb for a small fee, and a visit to the
light-keeper's home is free. All are welcome. |
The
Keeper's House is located at 4500 E. Grand Lake Road in Presque Isle,
Michigan. It is 5 miles East of U.S. 23 and 23 miles north of Alpena.
